Top 10 Free Things to Do in Las Vegas 2026
You don't need to spend a fortune to enjoy Las Vegas. Some of the best experiences on the Strip and downtown are completely free. Here are our top 10 picks.
1. Bellagio Fountains
The iconic dancing water show runs every 15-30 minutes from 3pm (noon on weekends) until midnight. Each show is choreographed to different music. Best viewing spots: directly in front of the Bellagio or from the pedestrian bridge on the south side.
2. Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
A stunning indoor garden that changes themes five times a year (Chinese New Year, Spring, Summer, Fall, Holiday). Open 24/7, free entry. One of the most photographed spots in Vegas.
3. Fremont Street Experience
Downtown's five-block pedestrian mall features a massive LED canopy with light shows every hour after dark. Plus free live music on multiple stages every night. More authentic Vegas vibes than the Strip.
4. The Venetian Grand Canal
Walk through the Venetian's indoor recreation of Venice, complete with painted sky ceilings, canals, and Italian architecture. Free to walk through — the gondola rides cost extra but the ambiance alone is worth the visit.
5. The Mirage Volcano (Reopening 2026)
The classic fire-and-water show is scheduled to return after the Hard Rock renovation. When active, it erupts multiple times nightly and is visible from the Strip sidewalk.
6. LINQ Promenade
An open-air shopping and dining corridor connecting the Strip to the High Roller. Free to walk, with street performers, pop-up shops, and people-watching. The auto collection at the LINQ hotel is also worth a free peek.
7. Wynn Lake of Dreams
A hidden waterfall show visible from the Wynn resort. Puppets, projections, and music create a surreal show every 30 minutes after dark. Sit at one of the lakeside bars for the best view (drink purchase required for seating, but you can watch from the walkway for free).
8. The STRAT Observation Deck Views
While the observation deck has a fee, you can get similar panoramic views for free from several casino hotel high-floor lobbies and bars. The Skyfall Lounge at Delano (64th floor) has no cover charge — just order a drink.
9. Downtown Container Park
A family-friendly outdoor shopping and entertainment venue built from repurposed shipping containers. Free entry, live music most evenings, and a 40-foot fire-breathing praying mantis sculpture at the entrance.
10. Casino Floor Architecture
Just walking through the major casinos is free entertainment. The Cosmopolitan's art installations, Aria's fine art collection, Wynn's floral displays, and Caesars Palace's Roman architecture are all world-class experiences that cost nothing to see.
